 AT&T Releases First-Quarter 09 Earnings: On April 22, AT&T Inc. reported first-quarter results highlighted by improved postpaid wireless growth with a substantial step up in integrated device penetration, double-digit increases in revenues from IP-based and strategic business services, and further AT&T U-verse TV subscriber gains.  U-verse TV Starts 2009 With Record Quarter: AT&T reported a record 284,000 AT&T U-verseSM TV subscriber net additions in the first quarter to drive the U-verse TV subscriber total above 1.3 million, and the number of subscribers to AT&T Advanced TV services which includes bundled satellite TV services to more than 3.5 million. Customer demand is growing as AT&T expands availability and introduces service enhancements. U-verse TV is now available in 93 markets across 19 states. The AT&T U-verse fiber network passes nearly 18 million living units. Nearly 50 percent of AT&T U-verse TV subscribers take one of the two largest video packages. More than 90 percent of U-verse TV customers bundle with High Speed Internet. More than 75 percent of U-verse TV customers have a triple- or quad-play. U-verse Voice services are now available in 80 markets. AT&T recently expanded its U-verse triple-play $30-$30-$30 promotional offer to all U-verse TV markets. The offer includes U-verse TV, U-verse High Speed Internet and U-verse Voice Unlimited for $30 for each service for 12 months. It is available to all new AT&T U-verse customers ordering online. AT&T also offers AT&T | DIRECTV service bundles in the parts of its 22-state residential service area where U-verse TV is not yet available. The Feb. 1 addition of AT&T | DIRECTV to the AT&T Advanced TV portfolio brought a new TV choice to millions of consumers as part of a bundle with AT&T wireless, broadband and voice services.
AT&T ranks No. 8 in Fortune 500 list: AT&T is now the eighth largest company in the U.S., by revenue, according to Fortune. We moved up two places on the 2009 Fortune 500 list, which ranked companies by revenue in 2008. AT&T placed above Verizon Communications (No. 17) and Sprint Nextel (No. 64) in the list. New number for AT&T Employee/Retiree

There's a new number for AT&T Employee/Retiree Discounts and Offers Sales and Service Center. The new toll-free number for the customer care centers that support employee and retiree discounts for wireline voice, DSL and U-verse is 877-377-9010. Call this number between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Monday through Friday.

Lawsuit Announcement

CWA has filed a lawsuit today in the United States District Court in San Antonio , Texas , against AT&T Inc. and its major subsidiaries in an attempt to halt the company's use of corporate shell games to avoid contractual obligations to CWA and its members.
